Kris Armistead, Myotherapist. Complete Muscle Care

Kris Armistead

BHSc-Clinical Myotherapy

I first became interested in becoming a Clinical Myotherapist after having dislocated my right shoulder multiple times in one football season. After having had shoulder reconstructive surgery I needed somewhere to do my rehab. Guy McGrath (Founder and owner of Complete Muscle Care) provided me with treatment and strengthening exercises to get me back on track.

Since then, I’ve never looked back.

I studied for 4 years at SSNT in Fitzroy to attain a bachelor degree in Clinical Myotherapy. Here I learned to use many different treatment techniques to help with all sorts of muscular conditions.   I have been working in this field since 2013.

I have a keen interest in pre and post-natal treatments having done additional study in this field which was put to good use in August 2018 when my son, Edison, was born. I am also very interested in headaches and neck related conditions but am more than confident with all other aspects of the body.

I like to use Dry Needling Therapy where I can, as I find it to be one of the most effective modalities at my disposal, however, I do realise that needling is not everyone’s cup of tea.

I love all sorts of sports including footy, cricket, netball, basketball, etc. and I play cricket on the weekends during the Summer months.

I absolutely love my job and being able to help people in pain return to what they love to do most is a very rewarding feeling. Whether you’re in acute or chronic pain I would love the opportunity to be able to help you through it.
